I am looking to buy a CZ-82 pistol. Where is a good place to get one? Are there HP made for this caliber. I can't really find anything bad about these guns. What are ya'lls experience with them. I thought about a SIgma, but I have a C&R license so I could just order my own. Somebody tell me somehting bad about them. |
| I think Hornady makes a 9x18 hollowpoint round. Surplus, or new, foreign ammo is pretty common. I can even get it at the local Cabela's. I got my 82 from AIM. I don't think they have any more, but I believe Classic Arms or SOG still has some. I really like the gun. It's compact, but feels substantial, and is very accurate. Mags can be had from CZ USA. It uses the same mag as the .380 CZ83. |

While I don't have an 82, I do have a CZ 83 in .380ACP. I love it, and it usually serves as my carry gun. Easily my biggest issue with it is I love to shoot it, but .380 is too damn expensive. I'd kill for a .22 adapter for it, but I've never seen one in person yet. I'm not even sure if they were ever imported into the US. |
AIM, if they still have 'em.
Yes, but they're not common. The best was the Silver Bear 115gr. JHP made at the LVE plant in Russia. It's no longer imported though. Silver Bear 95gr. JHPs are imported currently, but I've no clue as to their performance. The Hornady rounds pretty much suck.
One of the best guns I've ever bought. Especially when you consider how little they cost.
I'd be a liar. |
Probably old news; Aim is out, Classic arms is out. SOG still have them listed. The bad news is, I only have 5 of them !!! |
| As others have noted, a lot of on-line vendors are now out of them. They are not difficult to find though. Be advised that some of the later imports have a flat-black stove paint finish that isn't very durablel. In fact some people complain that Hoppe's will cause it to flake away. Try to get a pistol that has the gloss epoxy finish. |
