| Looking at a CZ75 sp01 ,what can anyone tell me about the single action trigger? I like 1911's but it cost an arm and leg for a hi-cap 9mm 1911. I know it won't be the 3lb trigger I have now, but is it crisp? |

I spoke to Mathew Mink and he said he could get the single action to about 2.75LB and the double around 6lb. This is the competition action job he does. Now I just have to raise the money before I burn it in the tank. Mr Mink |

I am going to send mine in for a trigger job after another couple hundred rounds. It has really smoothed over the first 700 rounds. The single action does have some creep, but not enough to really bother me at this point. I suppose there is no really great way to describe how much creep it actually has, less than my Beretta 92 and Walther 99, but more than my Sig. Considering I only spent $430 on the gun new, the trigger is very reasonable. There are two guys that come up for this trigger work, one is Matt, and the other is Angus. This CZ is my favorite gun right now, a great gun for the money. Angus |
Thats what I'm talking about. |

if you keep the SP01 in the DA/SA configuration.. you can get a pretty nice 6.5# DA and 2.5# SA on demand..with a little voodoo and trying some little tweaks..you can get to a 5.5#DA and 1.75# SA and be reliable with a wide spectrum of primers.. in that configuration..due to the DA mechanics and the pivoting trigger design there will be an amount of pretravel and overtravel of the trigger in SA.. if you convert the gun to SA only..you can use the straighter SA trigger..which has adjustments for pre and over travel. you can get it adjusted pretty tight..and have minimal movment onto the sear and very little after the release. again..because the pivoting trigger you will perceptibly more movement than on a 1911 trigger.. but it can be really sweet. Highly recommend Matt or Angus for you action work. |
