What is the general consensus on TZ-75s? My dad got one about 20 years ago and it has always had issues feeding. He has one factory mag and one aftermarket mag, both of which have problems. It is much worse with the aftermarket mag though. Should he try getting a new mag or are they just not very well made? I have shot CZ's and love them, the TZ isn't as nice, but are they at least supposed to be reliable? As far as magazines go, the TZ's use the same mags as the EAA's, right? If that is the case, I have seen factory, Promag and Mecgar. What is the best option? Thanks. |
Its the old magazines. THere have been DRAMATIC improvements in the magazines made for both CZ and the TZ. Turns out taht BOTH mags are made by the company Mec Gar. If you buy a current manufacture Mec Gar made for the Tanfoglio or Witness, it will probably change things dramatically for your TZ. Gun is not bad quality at all. |
Nice to hear you got it working. Did you use Wolff springs? If so what strength did you use? |

I've got a TZ-75 Series 88 Its got both a 9mm and 41 Action Express barrel, a slightly longer slide with both barrels ported. IT came with 2 41AE mags and 2 9mm mags I've had good luck with Mecgar mags. I've a total of 8 9mm mags now, and 4 41 AE mags with no problems at all. I've also got a 1984 made CZ-75 as well... both lovely guns. |
