Hi guys,

Just picked up a CZ 82. Neat pistol. Ammo arrives tomorrow and then I get to test it out. In the meantime, though, I can't find any serial numbers on the frame. The barrel and slide have matching numbers (083###), but the frame only has "she 88" and some sort of mark following it that could be crossed knives. I can't imagine that is the serial number.

Anyone know what the deal is?

I thought the same thing as well when I picked up my Cz-82 last weekend. If you field strip the Cz-82 pistol you'll see that the serial # that appears to be on the barrel is actually stamped on a part of the frame that the barrel is pressed into.

The "she88" is the year of manufacture.
