Looking to purchase one of the CZ97B in .45ACP.  Something about the looks of this pistol is intriguing, but having never owned a CZ before, looking for comments, pro or con?  Thanks as always

Two thoughts come immediately to mind on the CZ 97B.  It's accurate and it's large.

Mine is solely a range gun and I shoot it in single action mode only because of its size.  But that size also makes for a very stable shooting platform.

If your hand fits it then get it for sure. My 97B is my favorite pistol to shoot and my most acurate semi auto pistol I have.

i like mine.  they are large, but if youre a large type of guy then you maybe able to conceal it.

I just got one myself, the only thing that could make it better is if it were in 10mm

Awesome! Even groups well on Wolf, and my trigger has worn in to PFM :)
But the grip and trigger reach are not for small hands.
Not as tactical as a HK, but shoots at least as well as my friend's.

I was just about to ask about these as well. How does the grip size compare to that of a Glock 21 or a XD45? Is the grip a little chubby or mega chubby

While I can't define shape, only your hand really can...

Looking at the  mag well it is exactly 1" wide between the grip panels, add an avg of 1/8" for each wood grip panel side (there's some contour). 1/4" up from bottom it is 2 3/16" deep, middle where the grip screws are is 2 1/8", at the deepest notch under the beaver tail it is 2 1/4" deep, and reach from the same starting point to the trigger's middle is 3 1/8" at rest, 2 13/16" cocked.

Your answer is probably HK USP/ammo box mega chubby.

I have ordered the 97B, and will be happy to provide an update once received. I have fat hands, so size-wise I should be o.k.,......could the 97B be the best kept secret in .45's????? we'll soon see!!

Great to hear! I look forward to your report. I hope the grip is not to big for you. In my opinion they are the best kept secret in .45s.
