Sold my 52 since it did not share the same intuitive pointing that my other pistols have, and then saw a bonus amount of CZs at tables in the local show. Fistfull of guys with $350 Kadets alone...

CZ75 Compact shares the exact sights and safety of my 97B, $100 less than the P01 with the light rail I'll never use and has only a few ounces difference (and I like my stainless recoil spring guide rod), and then I pulled the trigger on this one 98% the same pull as my superb .45 trigger, does not need anything to be darned good, with none of the cruddy new feel I kept reading about. 1999 production NIB, 2 14rnd mags, $349.

Range the next day, loaded 14 WWB rounds, set target 25ft out, put the first set just a bit below the X, all roughly 2" wide by 3" tall group. That's about as well as I shoot any handgun, including a friend's custom match pistol. No issues at all with the first 100rnds of WWB ammo put into pins and cans.

Time for a Kadet kit...and maybe more mags...

452 Trainer, 550VL in .308, 97B, and now 75 Compact

Congrats on the new CZ. I have the p01 and love it but if I did it again I would probably go with a Nickle plated CZ75 compact in 9mm. In fact I may get one anyway LOL. I prefer the manual safteys to CZ decocker is why. I am keeping my P01 though it is a fantastic pistol.

RS39,

How do you like the 452 trainer and how accurate is it? I have one on layaway.

does the manual safety versions drop the hammer all the way or to the half-cock like the decocker versions do?

With the Wolf Match that is $26/500 at ammunitionstore.com, anything other than a 10 in std 50ft indoor match use (where the bullet is at least the size of the center hole) is all my fault. Scoped to about 9x where the duplex frames the bull like an aperture, no other mods, it got me up to a 264 (prone/sit/stand) rolling 3 match avg with a simple 5.5lb rig

If you try the Brooks trigger kit to give it a match hair trigger, it is no longer field safe as a good thump of the butt makes it go click.

I got a stupid cheap deal on a NIB Rem 540XR Target as a full 'position gun' for league use, can shoot it only 10% better. My schedule does not let me commit to a full league anymore.

If I had to have only 1 .22, the 452 trainer is it. Once your finger learns how to preload the longish trigger, breaking it when the jitters cross the 10 is not too hard

Great price.  Guess the shows aren't totally full of junk.
