I'm still contemplating this pistol, but I have a question about maintenance. I have owned many guns, but primarily stick with Glocks and 1911s because of the ease of maintenance. For example, I detail strip the slide when I clean the gun every 1000 rounds. This allows me to clean the firing pin channel, extractor cutout, etc. How does the P-07 compare in this regard?

I've only field stripped it and cleaned it and lubed it.

I never saw a reason to remove the firing pin, return spring, or firing pin block mechanism from the slide.  If I feel it's super dirty I just squirt a few blasts of carb cleaner through it till the crud stops running out.  I let it dry and then spray some rem oil into it till it drips out, then wipe off the excess.  I don't look at the rem oil as lube but as an oil to put back on metal surfaces after the carb. cleaner stripped the metal of protective oil/lubricant.  I lube with Mobil 1.

On both my P07's and my P09 I just field strip, wipe it all down with slip 2000 ewl, lube rails with the EWL 30 and reassemble, haven't missed a beat yet.

I'm not 100%, but I would think the P-07 and the P-09 would be the same.

P-07 and P-09 will be the same. I stripped my slide to install CGW parts. It basically consists of driving out a roll pin, then everything will come out. I believe the CGW roll pin is recommended if you plan to remove and reinstall the roll pin numerous times.

I've detail stripped my slide once, I had a couple light strikes.  I'm using CGW parts and running mostly suppressed, pretty sure my firing pin channel got globbed up.  Probably 800rds thru the gun.
