Hi All,
I want to get a CZ but am a little overwhelmed... I want a full size 9mm and have questions. what is the difference in the standard 75B and BD as far as de cocker. What is the advantage/dis advantage with a de cocker. I am used to a Glock so not sure what direction to go. Was really at the 75B or BD and the SP-01 Tactical Also what are the holster/magazine (cheap) options for CZ. Thanks! Huck |

A P09 (full sized 9MM or .40 S&W) comes with the decockers installed but the thumb safeties are in a small bag in the pistol case if you decide to go that route. With the 9MM you get (in the right states) 19 rounds in the magazine.
You can get a CZ 75 with the Omega trigger system. I don't know if those come with the same option to switch out the decockers for the safeties. The new P01s (compact 9MM) with the Omega trigger system do have that option. I took the decockers out of mine the day I picked it up and put the safeties in. I think you can get an extended 18 round magazine for the 75's. The B model has a firing pin Block that works similar to the units in the Glocks, M&Ps, Colts, etc. but still has a thumb safety. The BD model has the same block but also uses a decocker vs the safeties. |

The P09 is polymer, the rest of the full size 75 line is all steel. You can basically get almost any flavor in B or BD. Railed options are the SP01. Again safety or decocker option.
The SAO 75 to me has the best lines. I personally like shooting the SP01's the best, It is big and heavy and produces a minimum amount of flip. It is easier to shoot well compared to a Glock at least for me. |

When you carry a gun you can carry it cocked and locked (safety switch) or you can carry it hammer down (heavier longer first trigger pull is your "safety", then the hammer is back in single action every time after the first shot). If you're used to carrying glocks, you'd probably want to carry the gun hammer down in double action mode. That way you don't need to learn a new muscle memory of deactivating a safety switch prior to shooting in a stressful life or death scenario. Get the BD model or SP-01 Tactical (decocker) or P-09 (and leave the decocker in as it comes in the box) if you like full size duty weapons...and look into Cajun gun works for upgrades to lighten your DA trigger pull. It'll be about 8-10 pounds out of the box but you can safely lower it to about 6 with a few cheap parts and little knowledge on how to work on guns.
Warning: CZ pistols are habit forming. I have like ten now lol |

As I said in my post about mods I wanted a gun that I could use in USPSA and IDPA and also as a good self defense pistol. I don't want a safety as one more step to bring my weapon to use. I don't typically like double action pistols but CZs are just sexy and I wanted to change it up from striker fired. I am however going to order a fair amount of upgrades to reduce the trigger weight and reset. |

Where is best place to get mags? Try Greg Côte LLC I got mine from AIM they were cheaper then Greg. Look under the Mec-Gar mags. I did. AIM wants $11 to ship 1 mag that's a dollar cheaper than Greg Cote at $6 shipping. |
