| I want to make this my new CCW at least in the winter. What is the best most cost effective way to go about reducing the DA pull and possibly SA reset? My assumption is a different hammer spring and recoil spring, but I'm not sure on the weights and what else would help? |

I'm using a 13# hammerspring, extended firing pin with lighter FP spring, and lighter firing pin block spring from Cajun Gun Works in a P-07. I've fired close to 1k rounds of mixed rounds and have not experienced any light primer strikes. The double action has lightened considerably, as well as the single action. The springs and extended firing pin are very worthwhile upgrades. I also have the short trigger reset kit from CGW, but have not yet installed it. |
| Along with the short reset kit and the springs mentioned there is one thing you can do that is free. Take tension off the trigger bar spring. If you take the trigger bar and everything out the spring will block the right side safety/decocker hole. Bend it down so it is a little bit below the hole. Doing that and some polishing on a bone stock P-09 I got a 9# DA and just under 4# SA. I've since installed a bunch of the CGW parts and run a 13# hammer spring. |
