I have a CZ-82 that I just had duracoated and while it was apart, my gunsmith put new springs in.  It's been probably a year since I shot this and when I took it to the range today and put a magazine through it, slide locked back, reloaded, pulled the slide back, release...nothing happened.  I had to physically push the slide stop down so that the slide would cycle forward.  After looking at it, there is no downward pressure when there is a loaded magazine inserted or even when there is no magazine at all in the mag well.  Is there a spring that didn't get replaced or is that how the CZ-82 is made and I just never noticed?

Yes it has a spring.  Here is a diagram and instructions that show it:  http://leolani.net/relics/cz82.html

What could also be a problem is that the Duracoat on the frame is hanging it up/rubbing.

If you decide that you need a new spring, I suggest you email Norm.  He used to sell them for a couple of bucks.
Thread that talks about it
http://www.surplusrifleforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=46336 I actually posted in this thread (bcs12345)
I put one of his springs in a CZ82 years ago ago.
