This will be my first CZ and will probably replace my P226 as a carry gun. The other pistols I have are a Springfield 1911 and a Ruger MKIII. Which would be better for my uses? I like the front cocking serrations on the PCR and the alloy frame.

For carry the PCR will be a bit lighter.

The all steel compact with a safety will have a slightly better trigger than the PCR with it's decocker.

That said I'm sorry I sold my PCR, so many years ago.  They are very good hand guns.

Of those two I'd take the PCR. It's lighter and for carry use I prefer the decocker since employing the gun is simply "pull the trigger."  As mentioned, the trigger on the manual safety guns is generally a little better all else being equal, but it's realistically not something you'd notice outside of a static range where you're shooting slowly for small groups.

I'm leaning towards the PCR because I like not having a safety. It also comes with Novak style sights. How do these compare to the sights on the Compact?

I think the Compact just has white dot sights. I've been having a hard time deciding between the two like you. Finally decided on the Compact because it won't be a carry gun and I can't STAND the loaded chamber indicator on the PCR.
That being said, I love the lines of the PCR.

PCR all the way.   l like the compact for shooting but not for carry.

The alloy frame of the PCR and the decocker makes it better than the compact for me.

I think the PCR has a slightly wider frame than the compact as well since it is not steel, still lighter though.

My Compact shoots so well that I used it for a 3 Gun pistol for a long time.

Another vote for the PCR, lighter and has a decocker which I prefer for carrying.

Interesting discussion.  I've been debating selling a Steyr M9A1 and getting a CZ75 PCR instead.

I have a PCR and a compact.  If pushed, I would keep the PCR.

I've got a bit of a soft spot for my P01. I had cajun gun works work over the trigger and it has become my favorite pistol.

P-01 may be worth considering as well if you would like a rail. It's not much heavier than the PCR.
