Broke down my 75 B today and useing a 600 diamond hone, smoothed out the mateing sear and hammer surfaces. I did not get carried away, just smoothed out the machine lines on the surface and lightly "broke" the edges. It went from haveing a couple of spots you could feel "catch" if you pulled slowly, to a silky smooth pull with a crisp, clean break. Still has a slight positve engagment (hammer moves slightly to rear right before it brakes), so I know I didn't alter any angles much if any. Function checked and all is working fine as it should. I know some frown on stoneing the parts and choose to let it wear in after a few thousand rounds, but I don't shoot high volume. It really made a night and day difference. Any thoughts or opinions ? Did I just do a big no, no ? -thanks

As long as it is safe and still works you did fine.

I usually just use flitz on a felt dremel pad.

Why not. Life's too short for gritty triggers. Light polish only I do all the time.
