A little back-story.  My usual carry piece is a J frame which works well in the summer and winter.  A few years ago, I bought a Glock 27 for winter carry, but I just didn't like it much.  Sold it off and last year I bought a Glock 19.  I like it much better, but Glocks just aren't my thing, I suppose.  For range use, I love my CZ75BD, so I purchased a PCR to see how I like it vs. the Glock.  I just received it and put the first 100 rounds through it and my Glock 19 is already for sale.  The pcr feels great, just like the full size 75.  The only difference ( besides the loaded indicator) is that the PCR has a serrated trigger and the full size 75 has a smooth trigger..  My full size 75 had a gritty trigger until I broke it in, but now it is totally acceptable.  The PCR is not as gritty out of the box, but I'm sure it will improve quickly, as well..  I was on the fence about the compact vs the PCR, but initial impressions are good with the PCR.

I wish I had never sold mine.

Yeah, the PCR is nice.  I doubt I'll ever get rid of it.  The more I shoot the CZ's, the more I like them.  I understand that I am not a purist in that I like the decocker models, but I may try to pick up a stainless 75 for range use.  I tried to carry a 1911 at one point, but could never get comfortable with condition 1.  My first 9mm's were Smith 596 and 5906 followed by a Beretta and a couple of Sigs.  I guess I'm just accustomed to the decocker.  For the life of me, I can't learn to like the Glock, although my 19 shoots flawlessly and I shoot well with it. I'm thinking of getting a P01 to replace my 5906 as my bedside gun so I can mount a light on it.

For a bedside gun I would pick the SP-01 full size over the P-01.

That is a good recommendation.  I think I''ll get the P01 for a bedside gun and the SP01 for comparison to the PCR.  One reason for doing this is to keep the gun functions similar for my wife.  She shoots well but doesn't transition well between a CZ, a 1911, and a revolver, for instance.  I need to keep it simple.

Wish I could find a cheap P-01 or PCR.  Used to see them for midd 400s , now you are lucky for low 500s if you can find'em in stock.

The P01/PCR are, in my eyes, the CZ equivalent to the Glock 19. The only difference is, the P01/PCR have much better ergos for me.

I have a PCR but would like to get some thinner, no-stick grips before using as a carry gun.

Yep, that is what I am planning on.  Especially after seeing photos and comments posted in other threads.
