I wanted a CZ 75 for a long time.
One day when I was in the shop that I visit, they had an 85. I really liked it and I puchased it. I like the ambidextrious features and thought they could come in handy one day. Now that I have it, I feel that sometimes I made an impulse buy and should have waited for the 75. Do you guys feel like that at times. SHould I get a 75 to cure my feelings of missing out. And if I get the 75, do I get rid of the 85 or keep both. Man oh man what decisions....lol |

the SOP answer when it comes to decisions is to BUY BOTH.
if youre not ambi, then there isnt a reason to buy unless you think you will change later. afa 75 or 85 it comes down to what floats your boat. Again, buy both. If you dont think the 85 is cutting it for you, the buy a 75 and try it. Then if you cant afford both sell/trade one. its simple. dont make it anymore difficult then it needs to be. everyone on here makes a big deal in buying a gun. I can see if you live in a restricted state where you have to apply for 1 gun and wait for months/years to get it, but if you dont then why make a big production of it all? just buy and try. If you dont like it then sell or trade it, its that easy. yeah you may loose some $$$ on it, but you do the same if you drive a car off the lot w/o doing your homework. Its the price you pay for not knowing what you want or "think" you know. if you have any gun shows in your area spend alto of time handling and see how you like it. If you have any gun rental ranges in your area, try them too. Spending a few bucks before handling or renting can save you some $$$ in the long run. also, you get a chance to see whats out there. yes gun shows can be spendy if you have to pay for parking, gas and entry fee, but, its the price you pay if you want to play. |
| Same basic pistol so the 75 will handle the same as the 85, unless for some reason the ambi controls are getting in your way, although I can't imagine how that would happen. I've got both and shoot right handed the ambi controls doesn't bother me on my 85's. Keep it, especially if you got a decent deal on it and wait around for a 75 on down the road when funds are handy. CZ's are like Lays potato chips, you can't just eat one:) |
