Are these really Sig clones? Can you use Sig parts such as magazines in it?

I would like to know this as well, I've had an eye on one nearby for a while now. They do look very similar. I though I read that there is some issue with using Sig magazines, since one is ambidextrous and the other isn't, or something like that. I can't find that source right now though.

I have one. TZ 99 mags work and sig mags work but you have to put a hole at the front of the mag for the ambi mag release. It is a hole with a flat at the top. If your good with a drill, a dremel, or needle file it is not that bad. Locating the hole is the toughest part. Grind it till you find it.

i would go with "clone" only to the point of being similar in  appearance.

the CZs only have 1 (not 2)  controls for the decocker AND slide release.  its also ambi whereas the SIg isnt.  There is a loaded chamber incicator also.  iirc, the barrel/chamber is chrome lined too.

iirc, it will use S&W M59 mags but will need some mods since the CZ has ambi mag relase and the catch/notch  its in the front like rugers.    I have p/u some S&W mags for my CZ99, but i havent even shot it yet so i dont know.

just an fyi, there is the newer CZ 05.  its similar to the CZ99, but with a rail for those of you that like to add weight or things.

for the $$$ i would buy 2, 1 for use and 1 for spares if there werent any parts.   If youre concerned with spares, call EAA and ask.  they are the importeres for the CZ05 and may have a line on parts for the CZ99
