I have one. I have shot over 1000 rounds with ZERO problems at all. Recoil is almost none and the gun fully loaded is very light.

www.fivesevenforum.com is prob the best place for correct information from people that own and have shot this weapon.

I've had an IOM since '04. It's a fun gun to shoot. Just realize there is little reliable terminal effects testing for cartridges other than the SS-190. And the SS-190 has been shown to penetrate about 25cm or 10 inches. If you're on the FBI bandwagon that doesn't cut it.

One more thing, people will say it makes ice pick like wounds. I don't know what the other rounds do, again lack of reliable testing for those rounds, but the SS-190 tends to yaw and create an inch wide wound channel. Some reports say the -192/-195 duplicate such performance.

That being said, it is a joy to shoot. 20 round magazines are fun, and CMMG makes a 10 shot extension for them.

Ammo availability is still problematic. However, there is talk of other ammo makers jumping on the bandwagon sometime this year.

i believe that the ss192 and ss195 yaw as well.

I enjoy my Five Seven and I have another that I am looking to sell. Bought one for a buddy who couldn't come up with the cash so I am selling it along with five (5) 20 round magazines and 230 rounds of ammunition. Let me know if anyone is looking. bjbloodworth@hotmail.com
