At the range today, a stranger asked me for help with his pistol which wouldn't fire.  I couldn't figure out the problem and my curiosity is getting to me.  I want to look it up online, but for the life of me I can't remember what make/model it was.  Here's the details I remember:

subcompact .380 semi auto
stainless finish
bottom mag release
small, single-side safety - the word "SAFE" is visible underneath the safety when engaged, and "FIRE" is visible above when disengaged
SAO or possibly striker-fired - there was no hammer and the back of the slide was similar to a HK P7M8 in that there's a small port where you can see back of the firing pin
sights were very low-profile and machined into the slide similar to many subcompact revolvers

I thought it was a Bersa, but after a few variations of Google image searches, I'm not seeing it.  Any help is appreciated.

Not a Seecamp 380 is it? Subcompact 380's are small

Not a Seecamp as far as I can tell.  About that size, though.  The trigger was like a 1911-push straight back-bar type, not hinged like a double action.

Thanks. That's it.
