Well, after agonizing for weeks, I decided on a PM9.  I had an LCP that I initially carried a lot, then not so much, then almost never.  I didn't care for shooting it, it moved around quite a bit in my hand, and it just wasn't very fun, and there was just something about it that I never really liked.

So I set out to buy a PM9, a feat in and of itself.  Long story short, it arrived to my FFL yesterday, I picked it up, and took it to the PD range.  I was concerned after selling my LCP to fund my PM9 purchase that I would miss it, I wondered what would happen if I didn't like my PM9.

The PM9 greatly made up for everything, and I've forgotten about the LCP altogether.  The PM9 feels solid and shoots like a dream.  I was concerned that it would kick as much if not more than the LCP, quite the contrary, the PM9 feels more balanced, doesn't kick as much, and I don't find myself readjusting my grip as much as with the LCP (still some, but I did some rapid fire 7 shot volleys that ended up on target).

One of the biggest lessons I learned during firearms in the academy was trigger pull, something I'd never really paid attention to before.  Pulling straight back without anticipating the break.  The PM9 trigger makes this extremely easy to concentrate on, as it's a smooth and consistent trigger pull.  Like I said before, dead balls accurate to 50ft, probably about the max distance I'd want to engage a target at with this little guy.

Kahr recommends 200 rounds to break in.  I can definitely say after just 50 rounds I noticed a difference in the recoil spring, most notably during chambering after reloads.  Due to time constraints, I stopped after 150 flawless rounds, but could have easily done more.  My .380 wasn't nearly as fun to shoot, and after 50 rounds I was done for the day with that guy.  This gun I could shoot all day and still be happy.  During my range session I gave it the official recommended militec lube (lube, shoot, lube, shoot, lube, shoot, lube).  I've always been a fan of militec and I'm happy I could start this little guy up.

All in all, I'm absolutely thrilled with this weapon, I'm considering getting a CW9 or a P9 also, but we'll have to see :)

Without further ado..

Crossbreed mini-tuck, I also got the J-hooks, but I don't think I like them.

Worth the trouble You had in ordering sounds like . How much $ are they going for today ? Ordered My DLC finish with stock sites for $625 @ LGS back in Dec 08 arrived in January 09 . No comparison to the LCP IMO . Great single stack, lightweight , reliable,  accurate 9mm pistol . I am surprise Glock doesn't go here ( single stack 9 CCW ) .  Glad to hear it worked out for You ..........WVleo

LE pricing is pretty nice on these, I paid $506 + 25 for overnight shipping, I have a friend who's an FFL and does it for free for me, so $531 total.

I've never understood why glock won't go the single stack route.  With such a cult following of glock pistols, I guarantee they wouldn't be able to keep those things on the shelf.

.

Yep, shooting a PM9 for the first time is an eye-opener.   That such a small
and light pistol could be such a sweet shooter in 9mm +P.   Just a brilliant pistol
that is worth every bit of it's street price.
