| Looking at these, they are pretty close in size and apperance for the most part. But there is a great deal of difference in the price of the two. Can anyone give me a run down on what makes the PMs cost so much more, other than demand for the smaller gun. |

SORRY ABOUT THAT, BUT I didn't want a 500 word post either, he ask and I just sent him a PM. Had u asked I would have done the same thing. I was only trying to give him some advice without possably someone coming back saying otherwise . No great secret most kahr owners already know the answers to his questions to.. |

pm SENT FULL DETAILS. ahhh..how about just posting them so everyone can see. or is there some great secret? OK I will post for all to read and for many to re read what I have posted in the past. I just didn't wanto to burden the forum down with my long repetition either. No offense to any who felt left out. The PM serris kahrs are super great guns. IMO the best buy, They can be fournd around $600 easily. The CW kahrs are super great guns, IMO they are khars best seller by far and they can be found for alittle over $450 easily. what is the difference: The CW series has a pinned front site, You won't be putting nite sites on the CW series, no big deal if that is not needed anyhow. The CW series has less engraving and metal work on the outside of the slide. Again no big deal, as cosmetically it is still a beautiful slide. The cw series will not be availalbe in the dlc black finsih. The CW series is a bigger gun than the PM series (1/2:" more barrel and longer in the grip area). The CW series comes with one magazine. The CW series has a MIM slide stop lever (never seen one ever break yet either, so again no big deal) All the internals of the cw are exactly the same as the PM series. Kahr did not cheapen the reliability of the cw series. The cw series has stanadard rifle barrel, probably what is on 90% of all fireams. The cw barrels are still made by lothar who makes some of the finest barrels in the country. The PM series: It comes with two magazines (normally $40 each). The PM comes with dovetails front and back sights. You can install a number of different sites and nite sights on your PM series. the PM series has more slide engraviing and some slide melting done to it. The PM series has a forged steel slide lock lever. The PM series is smaller than the same CW series. Small is good IMO. the PM series has the premium lothar polygonal rifled barrel, which is expensive and will produce higher velocitys. (but most companies that have polygonal barrel, glocks also. do not recommend shooting lead bullets unless u clean the hell out of the barrel OFTEN. It is not more accurate than the standard rifled barrels.. It is available in the black dlc finish. The PM series can be ordered with nite sites already installed on them. The PM series uses a captive recoil system becuase of its smaller size. The PM series internals are no different than the cw internals. both are top quality . both carry the same 5 year warranty. both are American made. both have stainless steel magazines.. Just not much to dislike about either models IMO. One cannot go wrong in buying a CW Kahr, But Ilean towards the PM series for the sites and size. I have xs big dot night sites on my PM9 and love umm SORRY ABOUT THAT, BUT I didn't want a 500 word post either, he ask and I just sent him a PM. Had u asked I would have done the same thing.
