Does anyone have any insight on this particular model?  I just put one at hold at local dealer for 449, LNIB with 1-5rd and 1-6rd mag and all documents. I checked the serial number range online and it looks like a rather limited production of these occurred. Any known problems with this model? Thanks in advance the help.

I had one for a while.  It was too heavy for my needs and taste.  I also discovered that I absolutely hate the 40cal round.  That is not fault of the gun and I was entirely pleased with the craftsmanship.  It was a well made gun.  I would assume the covert modles won't have any problems that aren't already known about in the non covert models Like the K9, K40, P9, P40 seeing as how they are the same gun with just the grip chopped.

Either way it should serve you well and I hope you like it.

I dont know about the K40 Covert but I have a P40 Covert, polymer frame and was the predacessor to the PM40. I have had it for about 8 years now and love the gun.  I carry it in my pocket in a Desantis Nemesis pocket holster.  I have not had a failure of any kind with it.  It is also very accurate for a small pistol.  The only difference between the P40 covert and the PM40 is that the barrel on the Covert is 3/8 inch longer.  griffy

I have both the K40 and K40 covert. I like both of them and haven't had any problems other than the 5 rnd mag not locking the slide back on empty every time. I carry the covert in a pocket holster in my front pocket with no issues the other I normally carry on my belt in a yaqui style holster.  If you use the extended mags the covert has a slightly better grip but is still very easy to hanle with the flush mag. The steel frame does a lot to help with the recoil.
