I found a new K40 Elite 2003, which should be here next week - Are these limited production? From what I see on the KAHR website it looks like they are regular production models.  Anyone have experience with 2003 Elite models?

Range report - Pretty sorry....................Even after the recommended 200 break-in rounds. Every mag had a least one fail to feed with the slide locking into place and was very disappointing. Plus, the spent rounds had flat spots  on the mouth of the cases. I ran a total of 225 rounds of brand new American Eagle 165 gr. FMJ ammo and 4 different magazines and still had problems ......So this one is going back to KAHR. Out of five Kahr's I own this is third one that has to go back for  warranty work and this is there high end model. Great idea, however a new Kahr is a hit or miss type of thing~Just keep in mind when you purchase one it's a 50/50 chance you'll have to send it back. Even the new T9 I just got, the wood grips are not properly fitted and hang off (extend too far off the receiver) and you have the wood panel digging into your hand.

damn that is depressing, really sorry about that, buy such a nice handgun and end up with type of results.  I know Kahr will get u right but still that is pure b.s.  I would call them and ask if they would issue a pickup  on the handgun. Otherwise, I would send it back ups and address it to kahr, not kahr arms and they will never ask about anything.  give ups a reason to ask, and they will demand overnite shipping at a cost to you of at least $40, Otherwise about $10 . I have never been asked on any handugun but if I was I would just say it is a high speed hole punch. lots of high speed hole punches sent back every day to a gun company.

Yea, it's alright - I'm FFL and I would rather this kinda crap happen to me rather then one of my paying customers  - I'm basically testing each model of the KAHR's before I can recommend to a customer........So far, like I said it's a 50/50 deal ~ Man I'm sure glad I got a boat load of Glocks that go bang every time

ck, I like ur attitude. shit does happen. I am a 40 year now retired gun dealer and customers also dependedc on my suggestions also.  I love my kahr, have a k9 coming in tomorrow.  The plus far ourt weight the minus's of ther kahrs IMO. Great guns but some do give issues. there is just a ton of Glock technology in the upper slides of the kahrs.  I will give any gun from now on at least one trip back tothe factory for an issue, afrter that I will peddle it and either buy anohter or another brand. I just don't see any handgun company out there that can put out such a small 9mm and 40 cal as the kahr line. I am not counting kel tec either, for reasons I will not mention. Please let us know when you get that little jewel back and how it operates.  Thankyou.
