can anyone here explain the differences in the 9mm Kahrs.  I looked on their website and really couldnt find any differences as far as the specs go.  I have always liked the look of the Kahrs and will be looking for a new gun for my wife and possibly a summer gun for myself.  I first suspected the differences were the alloy of  the frames but I didnt see any weight differences in the models.

thanks for your help

What differences are you looking for?  Generally the P models have the polygonal rifling, machined slide-stop(instead of MIM slide-stop), rollmarked slide(instead of engraved) and driftable front sights(instead of pinned).  The P series also comes with 2 magazines(only 1 w/ C models) and I think the sights should be night sights.

Here's a side-by-side comparison of some, this is at the bottom of each individual pistol's info page(I'm viewing the P9).

That covers it pretty well.

Basically, Kahr's come in "full size" models, and micro models.  The full size have longer slides and grip frame, the micros have shorter slides and frames.
There's also a near-standard full size model known as the T or TP series that are almost as big as other companies compact size guns.

They come in steel frames or polymer frame.

Some come as "budget" models to reduce the price.

So, you have full size models like the K9 in steel and the P9 in polymer.
The micro models come in the steel MK and the polymer PM.
The budget models are the CW's.

Here's Kahr's page on the 9mm models.

thanks alot guys!  This helps out alot.

Just want to make sure I am getting this straight, the major differences in the "budget" models and the regular models are the barrel and less machine work on the slide, and one less magazine?

I actually like the look of the CM9 better, not really sure if I even care about the barrel on a compact 9mm though.

The main difference in my eyes would be the drift-able front sight when comparing the PM to the CM.  This limits your options as I've only came across two night sights that are the post-style that is used on my CW9. I agree that the rifling in such a short barrel will not likely increase accuracy that much, I can maintain a 4-5in group at 7yds w/ my CW9 and that's with only 825 rounds through it.
