I am having some FTF's on my CW-9. I would like to have this issue addressed and also have a new set of sights installed. I don't like the factory sights. I do like the gun however but I need it to be dependable. And no, I am not limp wristing the gun. I have been shooting all my life so that is not the issue.

Anyone out there recommend a custom shop or should I just send it back to Kahr?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Check with Cylinder & Slide.  They offer a full custom package on Khars as I recall.

Just out of curiosity, have you taken apart the slide? Dirt and oil may be getting into the firing pin and causing it to give light strikes. Take the slide apart and clean it out with a q-tip. That should do it.

Oops, I see you meant failure to feed......

My bad, I meant failure to fire. I will try cleaning the gun and slide again thoroughly. Bought some Gunzilla to try, we'll see how it works.

Thanks for the replies. If another cleaning doesn't fix the problem I've decided to send it back to Kahr.

If you do send it back to Kahr, you might want to consider buying (and having them install) the night sights they offer for the CW series, The sights are Trijicon and cost $80. I've read that Kahr charges $40 to install them.  I put them on my CW45 and like them a lot. Dawson Precision also has sights for the CW series.

Thanks Greg, that was my plan. I really like the Glock sights but the Trijicons will work. Anything is better than that two dot system. Hope to try out the gun again this weekend. I'll post my results.

So they weren't that bad to install? I assume you need a sight pusher correct?
