Fourth jam. Bought Dec 08. I was too stupid to mark the magazine to track the issue. I clean after every trip. Send to springfield?

sir, Jam is what your mama puts on your toast. What you are experiencing is a failure to feed. It's why Gaston makes his 40 calibre chambers so generous, with biiiiiiig entrances. sir, please notice in the 2nd picture that i have labeled the "jams" FTF, so raise up off of these nuts please. May the gun gods forgive me. Anyways, anything intelligent to offer? |

I experienced the same issue as well my first time out (XDM40). Had 4 mags, 4 shooters, about 120 or so rounds, probably 10 FTFs exactly like this. Discouraged me quite a bit... Second time out I labeled the mags and experienced the issue with my #3 mag only, took that one out of rotation and no problems since.
In other words, probably a mag issue. You already know the answer: label mags and shoot it again. |

I posted on here a while back about my XDm in .40S&W doing just that ONLY ON THE LAST ROUND... after shooting it some... problem seems to have gone away.
I loaded three rounds in each mag trying to duplicate the issue with very limited success. Last time out, could not get it to mis-feed. I'll continue to monitor the situation... |

autoloader failures are usually mag related. multiple bad mags confuse the issue. XDs are good eaters as a rule. mine fed GDSBs that no 1911 would take. 40 comes in a lot of temperatures, make sure you'e not running too light.
Apolgoies for the "jam" remark. thought I edited it before posting. |
