Anyone have SA Custom Shop install a new barrel? I'm thinking of sending my TRP (older Brazilian slide) in to have a Kart barrel installed. I wanted to know how long i should expect to wait for this.

Probably a long time. I was quoted 4-6 weeks for a 10-8 trigger and rear sight.

Had my XD45 slide outfitted with Night Sights and was quoted 4 weeks, but it came in 6 days! I sent them a dirty slide and they even cleaned it up! They even put the slide in a new SA case. Just send it in. May be back sooner than you think.

Whatever they quote divide that by more than half. They quoted me 3 months to rebuild my FBI gun and it took them 1.5 weeks. You will find that this is the case with most people....outrageous quoted turn around times but they end up being quick turnarounds.

Another SA custom shop fan - they had my custom work done in a matter of days after the warranty work was done. They told me 4 weeks... I think they're just playing it safe...

I sent my XD.45 to Springfield for the XD carry package, I love it even more now & the turn time was like 3 weeks. I plan to send my Sub compact XD .40 for the same package.
