What really goes into making a Full rail TRP in terms of parts considering a SA Loaded. I know the TRP is head and shoulders over the more "mainstream" 1911 SA produces but is there a way of upgrading a Loaded model to the Full rail. Send the gun in to the CS and buy the parts (full rail reciever ect...) and pay the package? Just asking. Thanks

| I guess for a price, anything is possible, but don't think you're proposal would be practical. given the mods to the frame required. Springfield Custom Shop will build a full rail 1911, but I think the tab is around $3K. There are usually full-rail TRPs on gunbroker.com. |
