I just picked up a brand new XD9 3' Subcompact for my wife. Put it through the range with 150rds yesterday, cleaned it up last night.

Now the Mag Release is getting STUCK!

I already "lubed" it with gun oil, you still have to apply a great amount of force to release the mag.

Anyone have any suggestions?

On a loaded or empty mag?  The loaded mag will fit tight, if you push up from the bottom of the mag and then push the mag release it should release easier.  If it does it on an empty mag, remove the slide and make sure there is nothing stuck in the mag release and that the  spring is in the proper position and that it is not binding.

True story, when ejecting a loaded 9 or 12 rounder I would always push up on bottom of mag so it wasn't gorrilla time. After 300-600 rounds it lightned up and so did the trigger/slide stop. Also over lubrication can cause powder residue to build up on over lubed trigger/mag release parts. I always used copper gun lube.

When I got my XD, I sat and repeatedly press the mag release while watching TV. That did a pretty good job of initial smoothing and range time did the rest.
Works great now...

The XD improves the more you shoot it.
