Anyone known if someone out there can mill a doctor sight mount onto the rear of the slide as seen on Glock's and 1911's?

| I know of that mount how ever it places the dot above the normal line of sight for the irons and I am looking around to see if anyone provides the service to machine the rear of my slide so that it mounts directly to it. I guess the XD just isn't as popular as the 1911 or Glocks yet |
| The top of the XD isn't wide enough to mill the posts into the slide. You would have to weld or solder a base onto the slide and then, you still don't gain much more than 3/16" because of the striker channel. The striker retention roll pin also can cause an issue if you make a permanent platform. |
