I am getting my CHL and was look at the XDm 9mm.
Does anyone currently carry one daily, and if so what kind of holster are you using
I am 6 ft and about 160 lbs and worry if the XDm 9mm is to large of weapon to conceal.
Thanks for your input.

I hear the crossbreed supertuck is pretty decent for concealed carry.  I'm 6'2" and 210, I think the full-size XD/XDm is a little bulky and heavy for daily concealed carry.  You may want something a little smaller for a daily/all weather carry gun.  Possibly a compact/subcompact XD, if you are set on a XD...

I plan on using mine for winter carry as well as carry at my camp. The fact is if I can hump a 1911 around all day long I can handle the XDM. Don't get me wrong, the days I carry my SP101 seem to be alot easier.

Ive carried my XDM .40 for months now.I love it.Its not as conceilable as some others but im one of those guys that can put that aside to have 17 rounds on tap! Im 5'10" 185lbs and I carry it all year round. But im one of those guys that dont care if people can tell im carrying a gun or not.I take satisfaction in knowing I have the means to get myself out of any ugly situation that might pop up in this crazy world we live in!

I'm 5'11" and 203 lbs.  I carry my XDM 40 daily in a crossbreed supertuck and it is very comfortable.

If you wear Tshirts mostly, then it will be no problem. I'm 5'11 150 pounds with a 28 inch waist, and I carry a full size XD9 every day no problemo with a Milt Sparks VMII.

The XDm-9 is not a small gun.  Here are a few pictures comparing it to my 3" 1911, and to a standard XD9.  Note that the XDm-9 is substantially wider than the XD9

I will try carrying XDm for awhile, but I have a new XD9SC inbound that will probably share carry duties with my SIS, which really is an awesome gun.  But I have to consider the fact that the XDm with one loaded magazine is almost identical in capacity to the Kimber plus 2 spare mags.  Thinking about that, if I carry the same spare mags for the XDm, I'm walking around with 58 rounds of ammo on my person, vs 22 for the Kimber.  That's 36 more times I could pull the trigger if I had to.

Thanks for the great comparison.
I sort of chickened out and got the XD9sc.
I had gone to a couple of gun shows and handled both the XDM 9 (great feeling gun) and the XDsc ( also felt good in my hand), but  the sc seemed to be a better size to carry all the time.
Thanks everyone for the input and I am happy to be in XD family!
Off to the range!

I think you made a good choice for a CC gun.  Now that I have all three...a few pics for comparison.

This is the XDm-9, XD-9 Service, and XD9SC (which I haven't shot yet)
