I am looking at a Mil-Spec 1911A1 and was wondering if you can put different sights on it. Preferably adjustable.

thanks

The milspec has standard dovetail cuts.  All the adjustable sights I have seen required specal cuts for installation.  I don't recall every seeing any adjustable sights that had the ability to be mounted in a standard dovetail.  At the very least, you will have to send it to a gunsmith or have the Springfield custom shop cut the slide and install the sight of your choice.

Yes, there are now adj sights that will fit a standard dovetail. Brownells sells them but I don't recall their price, sorry.

You might try checking out Millett's (sp?) web sight, Novak too.
