I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my first Springfield 1911, the full size LEGP. One person has told me that the Springfield mags work great in his. Anyone else have any problems? He also tells me that with the gun I get coupons to buy the mags for $8.00 each so if they work well it will be hard to spend the extra money on Wilson mags.

Any comments welcome
Thanks

Yes, actually the Springfield mags do work pretty good.

Now I haven't bought any of theirs sine about 1996 or so.

I have Springfield's, some stainless ones from Bushmaster's catalog, One Shooting Star mag I bought in 1997 and some other generic mags.

The Springfields are the best of the bunch that I have. Second would be the Bushy mags.

Springfields seem to have some type of lubricated coating on them and insert easily into the mag well.

I bought a handful of the 7 round magazines and of the 10 round mags. I've had good luck with the 7 round ones so far. Mixed results using the 10 rounders with JHP rounds.
