Just got my 2 new XD'S out of layaway on Friday (9sc & 4in. .40 ) went to the range on Saturday and was very impressed. I shot 200 rds fmj and 100 rds of hp through both and not a single hiccup with either one. I bought my daughter a XD40sc last year for her birthday and to use for her ccw class ( and yes, I let her make her own choice ) I shot about 20 rds through it and thought I might get me 1 someday.

After Saturday,I wished I hadn't waited so long , now I need to find a good holster for them so I can use them for my carry guns.

I have Blackhawk Serpa2 and Fobus Roto holsters using paddle attachments. Good for carry under loose garments. The Baker Pancake holster is an excellent one, holding the handgun snug to the body. The Bianchi in the pants holster that clips to the belt is another nice quality one.

Congrats on purchasing a pair of fine quality handguns that you'll grow to love even more.

stay away from fobus, they have known issues locking the gun into the holster and also breaking faily easily.

i use a serpa with no issues although it doesn't conceal well. the nice thing about the xd's are one size fits all on the holsters. the compact 9 holster also fits the xd45 full size.

Hadn't heard that about Fobus but I don't use it as much as the Serpa since the Serpa is approved for duty wear. Any particular area that breaks on the Fobus?
