[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Springfield Loaded 1911

I have a friend trying to orfer a Loaded 1911 Parkerized for me, and his 3 distributors don't have any in stock. Are the guns that popular? That scarce?

I tried to get a full size, in 9mm, my dealer called 5 distributors, only to be told good luck finding many different models of 1911's from springer. I dunno, I've been trying for almost a year!

Springfield responded to an email I sent them yesterday, and said that it could take a dealer up to 3 months to locate any of their 1911's. She didn't say the cause. Does anyone know why Springfield 1911's are so hard to get right now?

i am wonerding the same as i for the longest time wanted an mc operator, and i never saw one at a show or in a shop, except for one time, and i happened to buy it right then, but hey it was a dream gun and i was on leave from iraq so i coudn't pass it up! but i ws told by several shops that it would take months to get in stock? i wonder why?
