I just got a NIB XD-9. Now I've got a stupid concern. A very small portion of the shell is visible when the round is fully chambered. http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/9321/xdes1ac1.th.jpg (The image blur and light reflecting off the brass seems to be exaggerating the amount exposed in the photo) Is this normal with the XD? Also, what's the deal with the spent S&B shell casing in the labeled envelope packed with the pistol? I hope they test fire these pistols more than once. Thanks. BTW, other than the above issue, I love this pistol! |
It is just the edge of the brass that the extracor grabs.
