I'm planning on buying the Smith & Alexander MSH/magwell.  This is the one SA puts on their Professional model.  (FBI).

Before I knock out the MSH pin should I know anything else to keep me from screwing it up?

Thanks in advance..

Just hold onto it so it doesnt go flying. Might need a new plunger for the new msh. I dont know if the plunger in the SA is any different due to the ILS on it. Never took any of mine apart to see.

The only "difficult" part will be reassembly....just make sure that you fit the end of the hammer strut into the cup on the MSH when you assemble it. Just line the strut up properly in the grip safety, sqeeze the grip safety and tilt the weapon front upwards a little bit, this rocks the hammer strut into it's grip safety slot and puts the retaining surface in proper relation to the MSH.  Install the MSH whilst doing this. You'll have to sqeeze the MSH just a bit from the bottom and hold it in line whilst you re-install the MSH pin...that's pretty much it.

Oh yeah...sometimes the sear/trigger/grip safety leaf spring pops a bit out of its retaining slot when you disassemble the weapon...make sure the bottom prong of the leaf spring is in the slot before you begin the above steps....
