Has anyone sent a lower end model to have the full TRP package done?
Experience/Opinions?
Trying to determine if I should just buy another TRP or send one of my others in and have the package done on it.

If you have a loaded model it isn't worth the money.  Not enough difference to justify the cost.  If it's a GI or Milspec it might be a wash.  I would just spring for another TRP.  The only advantage to sending in a GI would be no front cocking serrations.

I sent a GI Micro in for it, took about three months but I'm very happy with it. I had a loaded micro before but I like the steel frame of the GI better.
The only thing I did differently was to have Heinie straight eights instead of Novaks and had the rear of the slide serrated to match the rear sight.

Interesting.  It's a GI and I would have thought there would be a world of difference.  My biggest thing is I'm tired of my hand bleeding every time I shoot it.  Beavertail and commander hammer is only $200, so if the rest is a wash it seems a no brainer!
Thanks!
