I have three XD pistols, a black XD45 Compact, XD Service 9, and XD Subcompact 9. I carry the XD45 and would like to start carrying my 9 in certain situations. My XD Service 9 is bitone and I'm currently having issues with the lack of grip of the rear slide serrations. My left hand is slipping and not fully grasping the slide to manipulate the slide and often causes short stroking when doing drills. I cleaned the slide including getting deep inside the serrations and my hand still slips, especially doing failure drills. I do not have this issue with my XD45 and Subcompact which have black slides. I'm thinking that the stainless finish is to the culprit. Is there any company out there that does machining to make the slide serrations deeper in order to get me more grip on the slide?
The culprit.
Any suggestions would be helpful.

Generally people want them on the front:
But we can machine serrations on the back deeper, or you can add grip tape.

Are you wearing gloves?

I think Springer Precision sells a wracker that is easy to install on back of slide. I have one on my XDM.

At the range yes, and the gloves help with my issue. But for CCW use, I won't be wearing gloves 100% of the time obviously

I designed two, one for carry and one for competition that replaces the back plate.
