Found a Springfield Loaded 1911 last week at the gun show for $775.00 out the door.
I thought this was a good price so I jumped on it.  (Was it a good deal?)  So far I've only put 100 rounds through it and it has run perfect.  No jams or anything.
I haven't shoot a 1911 in a couple of years until this week.  I think that was stupid of me now.
I'm really enjoying it, makes me want a commander model or emp for a carry gun

I think the venerable 1911 is the most awesome looking pistol ever designed. Must be from my misspent youth watching WW2 movies. Colt series 70 was the first pistol I ever bought. Still love it.
Nice purchase op. thanks for sharing

I am seriously thinking about adding one of these into my lineup. I have a loaded ultra compact and a range officer. My other option is a LW operator.

+1.  Nice pistol! I think that for the price, the loaded model is the best offered by SA.

Hell yes.

A parked Loaded is one of my favorites...

I have the same pistol, but all parkerized (In the photo, your's looks two tone).
GREAT 1911... Mine has been flawless, and very accurate.

I recently added a Dan Wesson to my collection...Prior to that, my Springfield Loaded was my top 1911.  (Now it's in second place, but still a VERY VERY good gun).

EDIT:  Looking at the picture again, your gun does NOT appear to be two tone (just the light, I guess)...So it is the EXACT same gun as mine.

EDIT #2:  Those Wilson Combat magazines are AWESOME!!  I have a bunch of them.

Sweet, yeah I'd say you got a nice deal on that one.

I'd put some Pachmayers on it, for the pseudo-MEU/Socom look, but it's great as is.

Nice score.

I bought one a few months ago. It is my first 1911 and instantly became my favorite pistol.

I love my SS loaded, it was one of the early ones without ambi controls, which I like since I'm correct handed.  Some scratches on her over the years but none that wouldn't buff out.  Definitely a great shooter though and that's what counts!

Looked at the loaded for my second Springer but picked up a RO for a great price to go with my Mil-Spec as I liked the rear target sight better on it.  Whichever you choose, they all seem to run great out of the box.  I've not had a single jam or ftf in either of mine with well over 1K rds through each one.  However, I did replace that stiff main spring, lock setup, and housing they come from the factory with.

I also got some new grips for both without the Springfield logo as I like the look better.

The new grips were just plain jane walnut ones I picked up for $10 at the funshow and then I gave them a coat of WATCO Danish Oil, Medium Walnut and they came alive as you can see above.

2nd pistol I ever purchased was a Springfield loaded 1911. I still have it and shoot it often. I love the pistol. My only complaint is that it is blued and I sweat alot so I don't like carrying it, due to constant need for lube and a rub down to prevent rust. Back when I picked it up they were selling for $650 out the door, which killed me back then. Now I wish they were that much.

You guy's and your love of the loaded in making me want one all the more. The only problem beyond the cost is whether I shouldn't get SS or parkerized.....
