Ok, so I have to admit I'm getting older (56).  I just picked up an MC Operator and I can't hardly see the front sight.  Ok, all You young guys laugh but your day will come. Looking for some recommendations for sights for this pistol.  I would prefer a red fiber optic front, rear not as critical.  I believe these pistols have the Novak cut.  Any Ideas.

I had the same problem (60) and found a fix for me that may or may not work for you.  I wear hard contact lens and got some new "bi-focal" contact lens.  The way it is set up is my right eye (I am right handed) is adjusted to focus close and my left eye is adjusted to focus far.  When you shoot with both eyes open, you right eye now can see both the sights clearly and your left eye the target.  Your brain superimpose the two images and gives you a composite clear image that is clear both near and far.  Before this, I could bearly see an IDPA target "O" zone at 10 yards, now I can hit 12" steel plates up to 100 yards away shooting free style.

I have a little bit of a hard time seeing the sights on mine in daylight.  They're really bright in total darkness though.

You can always put on a set of the fiber optics front sight.  I use a set put in by Powder River on my 5.25 XDm and they are nice.  Shot a two gun match a couple of weeks ago and the RO came up to me afterwards and said "WOW, I was behind you and notice how super bright your FO were!"

I have been running Ameriglo Hack sights on my M&P 45s. I don't believe they make Hack's for the low mount that your operator has, but Heinie has there 50+ sights with a wide notch. I am really liking the large front sight post and notch. I think red fiber optic is an option for Hienie but there website is kinda sucks as far as finding the set up you want.

I'm older than you and I do understand. I really like the wide rear notch (plain black is fine for me) with either a gold bead or fiber optic front. For guns that may be used for serious purposes I do not trust the fiber optic (seen too many break) so I use either a thin gold bead or tritium. Heinie makes some good setups but you have to research them...

Magnified safety glasses. I use a set of +1.50 and can see the front sights on both pistols and rifles crystal clear. I did not realize how bad my close focus had become until I shot with them on.
