I currently own a XDS, amazing little guy. Cant believe how accurate it is. BUT, i want to replace my KAHR PM-40 with a 40 XDS.

Rumor has it they will release a 9 and 40 in 2013....i suspect after SHOT SHOW. I'm sure most of you have seen the 9, 40, and 45 on the back
of the supplied holster....

ANYHOW, while searching springfields website under merchandise, I just now found this:

XDS-9

HA! So, where's the .40 at?

The pink lettering on the shirt will go nice with your XD.

I heard mid-December was the announcement date...but I doubt that will happen now.  Love my XDS 45, but want a 9 for my wife.

I'd be 1st in line for one of these; the gun, not so much the shirt. =]  Would really like to wait on this, but should the 9mm S&W Shields magically come into stock I doubt I have the patience to pass it up.  Hell, might just grab both. =]

Let me take the other position and play the devil’s advocate.

I currently have a XDSC and I love it but can’t really figure out any significant advantage to a XDS 9.  When I looked at the Shield, the differences relates to it being slightly thinner and lighter but part of the weight savings is from the reduced round count, so if you took some rounds out from your XDSC, the only real advantage is its thickness.  So the question is would it really feel that different?

Don’t get me wrong, I would love a gun that is significantly easier to carry but I want to be convinced that the difference is real.
