Traded in my GI and got a "loaded" that is as tight as my Gold Cup. What an upgrade from the GI! I put on some grippy grips and shot it on Sunday for the break-in. Picked off cans at 10 yards for starters. One thing I noticed is that the Abi-safety gets in the way of my thumb brake and will always click to "off" when in my opencarry DeSantis 06585, even if I make sure it is "on" when I latch the thumb brake. I could probably rectify this by either stretching the leather or putting in a narrower safety since the factory one is like a 2x4. No issues with my Crossbreed IWB QwikClip. |

Very nice, and that is quite an upgrade. I really want a GI replica from Springfield, I wish they hadn't stopped making them. I have a modified Mil Spec that runs perfect, has a ton of wear on it but it's never let me down.
That's a nice gun. I'm considering either a Loaded or Range Officer for my next or I might go crazy and get a Dan Wesson Guardian bobtail but I'm not sure yet. |

My GI had a ton of trouble running out of the box and wouldn't even run FMJ. I had my local shop polish the chamber & feed ramp and tune the extractor. After that it would eat every .45 I stuffed in the mag. I went with the Loaded instead of Range Officer to get the night sights, and I already have a Gold Cup that is great for range duty.
