| Has anyone sent their slide to James to have night sights installed? Were you pleased with his work? I just ordered a set of trijicons for my XD as well as my Cougar. Once they get here, I'll be sending them off to him for install. |

With the Couger and the 92 you have to remove the safety to be able to clamp it. Then the slide is not a flat slab so it's harder to clamp it in the install tool. Then if you thought XD sights were tight if you have ever installed sights on a Couger or 92 the XD is cake. Since I milled my sight install tool to accept the XDM's it will no longer reiably hold the Berettas enough for me to guaranty the work. Just to much can happen from scratching the slide to marking the sights if the slide slips during the install so it's better to admit when a job is beyond your skill level or tools.
You can try Trijicon or Beretta direct. Either way the price won't be cheap and will be a sucky turnaround time. And Hi Don.......Go the other kind of Couger. |

I seem to be the guy that buys things that are always more difficult to "customize" or always cost twice as much to have something done to. James, my sights should be here in a day or two. Hopefully I can get my XD slide shipped out to you this week. The plus side to you not being able to do the Cougar is that I won't be without a regular handgun as these are the only two I own other than my little pocket .380 |
| Absolutely 125% satisfied. I sent mine to him and it was back to me in less than a week counting the weekend. It actually is POA/POI correct now versus the factory sights. I wouldn't hesitate one minute to send him another slide. He also kept me informed and even called once the work was completed. |
| I just wanted to let anyone that may be thinking of having James do your sight install that he does fantastic work. After a small mishap with my mail carrier, who put it in my neighbors mailbox, I got it back on Thursday. I shipped last Friday, so six days there and back is awesome. A lot better than the 2-4 weeks I've been quoted by Trijicon to do my other pistol I bought night sights for. |

Quoted: My XD feels so naked right now. http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/nn183/bdawg998/2012-03-16_23-09-18_503.jpg I am assuming from this pic that all James needs is the slide to install sights? May be sending my XD9 and XD9SC to him soon if that is the case...... |

I sprayed it down good with some rem oil, including the paper I wrapped it in and stuck it in the box with the little baggie that the sights came in. There wasn't room for the whole sight package. |
