Being vented on the top makes it too loud for me. Can I just replace the barrel with a non-vented one? What kind of skill is required for this?

Sell it and buy a Glock.

You will probably have to get one from Springfield since it's a 4" does it have a barrel bushing?

Send a email off to SA, might be cheaper than you think. But all the is required is to replace the barrel.
