I was wondering if Springfield is still makeing they GI model 1911-A1. On the Sprigfield Armory website has only the Mil Spec.

This subject came up on the 1911Forum. Apparently SA was doing some work on their website and the G.I. model got deleted for a while. It's allegedly back on.

Latest from SA is that they are so far behind on orders for the GI that they pulled it from the website.
Picked this one up NIB recently. Build date 4/2011
