I asked several months back about the new high capacity Pro-Mag for the XD series.  No one had any experience, so I finally bought one.

I ran the mag 4 times.  On all 4 runs, rounds 3 and 4 (in order of being fired, not loaded) nose dived.  Simply releasing the mag and reinserting it corrected the issue, but still not good.  Also, all 4 runs, round 20 would not chamber on it's own.  The slide locked like the mag was empty.  It's possible I have a bad mag, but I wouldn't trust them.  I haven't contacted CTD yet (I purchased through them) to see about a replacement, but I'm going to.

30 round mag's are even worse. The spring only keeps enough tension for maybe 5 or 6 runs then simply dies.

would I trust anything from promag with my life? no.

would I buy promag and deal with the more than occasional issue at the range? sure.
