I recently obtained a SA UC 45 acp pistol and have some questions. When taking mine apart, I noticed that mine has a short guide rod that does not go all the way to the muzzle face. The guide rod is about 2" give or take long. Is this normal? With the short guide rod, the face of the gun has a gapping hole under the barrel where the metal bushing or collar is.
I cant post pics until tomorrow but wanted to get a head start with the Q and A. Can someone post pics of their SA UC disassembled so i can compare? Thanks guys. |
