The Rossi's are worth what you pay for them. I picked up an old 2" M68 in .38Spcl a couple years ago for next to nothing. After cleaning it up well, my son & I have shot the "dog-snot" out of it, working up loads and just shooting things up. It's NOT stout enough to outlast a Ruger....................but you'll definitely get your money's worth. |

Everybody has their own way to look at brands . I like S&W and would rather have a used S&W than a new taurus or rossi for about the same money . Others have been happy with them . Realise that used values (trade in if you will ) for a taurus or rossi will be less than a Smith, ruger, or colt Don't let me or anyone else chase you away from taurus or rossi , if you think you have found a deal on a gun you will be happy with - go for it |

I've had a couple of 971's, one 6-inch, and the other a 4-inch. On the 4-inch, I had put a set of Pachmayr 'compac" grips on it, and I really liked it; recoil isn't bad at all, even using 158grn magnum loads, and both of them were fairly accurate (no match gun by any means, but I'm no match-grade shooter, either). I can't believe I was dumb enough to get rid of it, but so it goes... I plan on getting another 4-inch blued, and the Pachmayr grips, too; hell, I miss the damned thing. |
