| Looking at a .38 spl from charter arms. Just a fun gun, not going to carry it. Are they decent quality? |

I looked at a new one two years ago while looking for a pistol for my wife, it seemed ok, the action was a little gritty though.
I ended up buying a smith for her instead. I think they would make a pretty good little beater gun, as long as the parts are easy to get. |

They're solid little guns that work well. They clean up easily from the grittiness and backed by a 100% lifetime warranty.
Being from CT and near where they are made - they offer near same day, drop off service free of charge for any gun made since 1998. I have a .44 SPL Bulldog and my wife has a .38 Pink Bitch and they both are great guns |

I have shot two in my life. My brother's .38 threw wadcutters at the paper sideways (25 years ago). My Sister-in-law's .22 shot OK, but the hammer occluded the sights when it drew back (5 years ago). The trigger was much better after I stoned it a touch and put some RIG grease on it. I'm not sure that I'd buy one based on the 2 examples I've seen.
