I just aquired my dream gun, a S&W 65-2 and Im wondering what defense ammo yall would suggest based on experience. Im a huge fan of winchester ranger sxt in my glocks, but I havent seen that ammo for a 357 mag.

I'd look seriously at the Speer Gold Dot 158gr JHP and the WW 145gr Silvertip if I did not mind the recoil they generated.

Plain 'ol Remmy "green box" 125gr JHP. Far less expensive than the "exotic" rounds out there, and it's what built the .357's "stopping power" reputation.
