Never seen a S&W trigger under 9 pounds that would reliably ignite all primers. But sometimes a good S&W trigger feels much lighter than it really is. I've got a pre 27 that's like that. It almost feels like it pulls itself the action is so smooth. Good score. Damn I love S&W revolvers! |

Thanks Bob...now I miss the few I have owned.
Trying to think back, I know the model 17 could be had with the TT & TH, but not the 18? I'll have to dig through my old brochures only because the memory ain't what it used to be and I'm curious. Even if they were swapped, all the better ! And I thought I was happy scoring a DW model 22, 8 incher at the fun show...I've been trumped. |

No clue if they have been swapped in this particular gun, but the S&W Reference says some were indeed shipped that way. As soon as I get my new grips (ordered tonight), I'll take this puppy to the range to sight it in for my eyes & my ammo.

Nice score, any Smith .22 has skyrocketed lately! I came within a hair of picking up a 95% model 34 for $250 but didn't have the cash 250 bucks I wish. Local pawn shops have a couple older S&W .22s and they want 395 bucks for them in pretty worn condition. |
